www.freerice.com

Hello All,

I was just perusing through the comments on brotherhood2.com, and I ran across one of the coolest sites I have seen on the web in a long time. It is a website called freerice.com (pictured below). It is very simply a website that tests your vocabulary. For every word you get right they dontate ten grains of rice to those who need it (with help from the United Nations) Definitely something to check out. Here is a link to the site (or you can just click the picture)...go make some people happy.

Yo kids,

Chevy has been working with DJ RAP for the last few weeks for an upcoming show in Aspen, CO. The show is a haf hour set opening for Seal. Yeah that Seal, the kiss from a rose-ing, Heidi Klum Marrying, Seal. As it turns out she needed someone to create and perform the visuals for her show as well...so I got got offered the gig. Should be a good time. Me, Chevy, DJ Rap, Seal, Heidi?? What more could you ask for?

Anyhow the gig is on the 22nd of December in Aspen, as I get info I will let y'all know so maybe we can see some of you there. I dont know about tickets, or how much they are, or where it is...all I know is that things are going to be popping off in a major way I want some of my peeps around to witness the fitness.

In other news, the demo that we were going to be doing for Ableton has been moved to January. I may have already talked about that in a previous post, but anyhow I will keep you updated on that as well. It'll be a good time, and free...and who knows maybe you can get some Ableton SWAG... Well, that is pretty much all that is goin on in the world of centercourse...hit y'all up later...cheers

remix hotel

ben and i were at remix hotel last night in hollywood. the event was alright, there was some cool gear there. the ableton room was bumpin, and also had a very cool theramin. to be honest it was a bit weak all in all, but we did check out a couple very cool touch controllers from jazzmutant (www.jazzmutant.com) called lemur & dexter. ben and i had a little too much fun playing around with these things, but they're sooooo jokes*. see the video below, the music is a piece we wrote for "return to shralptown," an independant film we recently scored.

*jokes means cool. nerdfighters!

New Stuff

Hello All,

Just wanted to post and let people know about the links that we have added to the right of the blog. Everyone over there is awesome and worthy of being checked out. That list will continue to grow, so check back often.

I also want to thank everyone who has listened to our stuff from the very beginning, and all of you that have started listening since. It is really awesome to know that we live in an age where artists have easy access to millions of peope through the internet, an opportunity artists even 10 years ago didn't have.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing some of you at Remix Hotel on Saturday.

cheers,

ben

ps. If you read the blog and have somethin to say, leave a little comment below. All are welcome to comment, and we love readin em...thanks.

number one

looks like ben has covered all the current events for centercourse as of late. i'd like to note the amazing trentemøller performance we caught last month at avalon. very stellar in a huge way. if you haven't heard trentemøller yet, i urge you to do so. see the greatest 30 seconds of the show as captured by my phone at the bottom of this post. apologies for the poor quality, but what can ya do?

Welcome to The Center

Hello All,

This is my first post on the new blog. A lot has actually been going on so I haven't had a lot of time to keep y'all informed. Chevy and I have been doing a lot of writing for the album, putting together a live show, working tech for various events, and writing for a few films/commercials.

One of the films that we just finished scoring is called "Return To Schralptown." It was put together by our good friend Jesse Levine over at Thrillhead Creations. They are a production/media company that stresses the importance of keeping our environment healthy through sustainable living. Pretty cool stuff actually, we wrote three songs for them for that film so look for that one on their website.

On that same environmental tip, we are writing some music for an environmental organization called GenGreen. They stress the benefits of sustainable living as well, and are trying to create a network of environmentally minded people. It's pretty cool actually, if you follow this link to their website you can sign up for an account. It is sort of like a myspace type community, but for people of the green persuasion.

Another project that we have just finished up is writing the new intro music for Brotherhood 2.0. The founders Hank and John Green have decided to communicate only through video blog for an entire year, and they don't mind if you watch them do it. It is actually really cool, every weekday they alternate making very interesting, funny, and intelligent videos on a battery of subjects. You can watch the videos on youtube or you can visit www.brotherhood2.com. Once the year is up, they are going to continue to make videos, just not quite everyday under the name vlogbrothers. We offered to write the music for their new intro purely because we love their videos so much. They are awesome guys. Hank is an environmental activist that runs www.ecogeek.org, a website about incorporating cool technology that is also environmentally friendly. John is an award winning author of young adult fiction, you can read more about him on his website. John's books are really good, at least the one that I have read, but he definitely has a very unique and intelligent outlook on life. Anyway check them out...NERDFIGHTERS!

Other than that we had been getting ready to do a show on the 29th of November, a clinic actually, to show off Ableton Live. However because Live 7 is being released around that time, we have decided to perform in January and I will keep you updated as to when that is goin down.

This weekend we will be at remix hotel, this huge electronic music convention going on in Hollywood. Should be a good time, and I think we are doing a demo at the Ableton booth, so be sure to come down and check us out. That's all for me...more to come soon. Hope to see y'all this weekend.

ben

ps. Oh really quick we may be working with OneFive Media in the very near future. They are a company that specializes in making films about mountainboarding. A sport only for the most burly of men...and women, and...children.
